First pic I clicked was of the 'Ol Hudson.. She was used last month or rather given to be used for the wedding of the previous owners great granddaughter. I have a couple of pic and also have pic of the Great Eight at a wedding that took place way back in '75

The Hudson belonged to my family, later sold to Nitin Dossa. Maybe Rajkot had a similar car?

This car was complete, then reduced to scrap, restored mainly thanks to the passion of Raju of Raju auto. Then onwards to Indore for some cosmetic touches.

A lovely car, we are told the only survivor of this model and body style

Lovely pictures. BUT, has anyone noticed, the rally , under the WIAA umbrella, has numerous two wheelers being driven without helmets, in direct contravention of the law.

WIAA had just finished a road safety week, where wearing helmets for safety was one of the various aspects of road safety talked about.

The organizers should not have flagged off those who blatantly were defying the law.

But then who is really bothered these days.

I'm glad you raise this valid point. In Pune events I have participated on my Triumph bike, and naturally wearing a helmet (not because of the law, but simply common sense!). More than one fellow participant told me I should ride without a helmet "at least for the rally". I just don't understand why.

And did you notice 4th pic of the first lot of bikes, the bmw rider has his phone in his hand probably checking FB or What'sapp???

And talking about the Petit cars did you happen to have a look at the V8 Lancia they had then?

Here are pics. that I clicked of this year's rally. Unfortunately missed the pre flag-off display this time, as I took a HYD-BOM flight on Sunday morning that landed in Bombay at 9:20am that day!
So directly went over to BKC sofitel and waited until the cars began to arrive....and eventually they did! After which it was fun, fun and fun all day long!

Need to transfer the pics. from my phone so it'll take some time. Here's the first set of pics. for now.

That was a grammatical error on my part. Apologies for that. I meant, yes you are correct. Rutwij should have the list of winners, will ask him to upload it !
