Wish the museum all the success and happy to see the Hispano back within its familiar surroundings .The museum was visited by few of us a few months back. The dedication & effort of the team and also the Chairman himself is commendable . Hope the younger generation enjoy it and with so many schools in the city & hills visit it often.

Spread the word that it's opened for all to go and see it and appreciate every aspect of the exhibits put up and collected and restored over the years. The second ( real ) one in the the country !

Cheers

re: The Gedee Car Museum, Coimbatore

Here are detailed pictures of this fantastic place - though I haven't yet seen the place I've heard great things about it. Look at some of the cars on display - a couple of real surprises

re: The Gedee Car Museum, Coimbatore

This Wolseley Eight was my maternal grandfather's car (originally MSP-9311; and black). Spent much of its life at Aruvankadu, a few km uphill from Coimbatore.

The KLZ registration came when he moved to Nilambur after retirement. Believe it was the oldest running car in Malappuram District at one point.

It was given to the Naidu's about 15 years ago.

Can anyone provide a blow up of the photo on the windshield ? It might be him - Sri. T.N.Sankara Varma!!!

The wing lamps are missing though. Believe it had an electric wiper on the driver's side and a hand crank one on the left (memories are fading!)

re: The Gedee Car Museum, Coimbatore

Second proper car museum of the country for sure. Also, capable of catering to wider audience considering ₹50/head ticket. (Heritage Museum visit costs six times).

They have chosen to go with G-E-D-E-E instead of 'Geedee'. Mods, consider correcting the thread title.

Thanks.
