Was very happy to see Harit's 1959 Dodge Custom Royal Lancer, post restoration. The car had come to Bangalore to take part in the FHVI - Mysore Rally. This car comes with a 5.3L V8 Engine.

This car original came from Nepal Royalty to Mayurbhanj to Tikri before Harit was able to buy it.

A superb car indeed, I am really happy to see it restored and back on the road. I believe there is one more similar car still languishing somewhere, hope it too comes out soon.

I think it was Tirwa from where it came. At the time probably in original paint and interiors etc.

Thanks and regards to your Dad.
Putting up a few pics while the car was being restored. The roof had actually separated at 2 corners, and was held together by the chrome trims.

Indeed she had come from Tirwa. Paint was original, today maybe we would have done one courtesy round of patina. But the paint was very dull. The interior particularly the seats were covered with the original upholstery underneath the covers but shredded. Was useful only for the pattern.

Restoration was largely done by Bhavesh, painting in Pune and Chrome by Allan.

Any more Oldsmobile 38s you’ve come across? We have a 1938 Oldsmobile Touring Sedan 4 door at home. So, I was just eager in knowing how many such cars still survive in India. There is just one such automobile that I am aware of (apart from ours), and the specifics may be found in the attached link.

I don't think there could be too many, as you said we've usually only seen this one car. The coupe in earlier posts seems new on the scene. How long have you owned your car? Please do share some pictures with us. Thanks
