You might want to tell that to Tesla as their official address is:

Thankfully, they haven't closed down and have just closed for refurbishment and operating out of their service centre. Pic taken now.

Re: 1948 Bristol 400 - Resurrection against all odds!

Thank you karlosdeville for sharing such a great post. This totally unbelievable how this has been carried out and here I am still trying to get myself to fix a punctured spare tire!

The completed resurrection must make the people involved so proud I can only imagine, just the pictures have such an impact to stir up my emotions, don’t know how the team handled theirs. Talking about pictures and the book, its also great to see that they have documented everything and its worthy of a mini documentary. Restorations/Resurrection like these make shows like overhaulin and classic car rescue look like child’s play

Often, when a skilled person is really, really good, they make it look easy!

Sir, this is the most amazing restoration I have ever seen. Had other owners of lost classics shown such love and perseverance, our country would have been richer for some fine automobiles of yore

this is the finest restoration project i have ever seen. I hope the same has been video logged, for it would make a compelling documentary. My compliments to the restoration team for their vision and perseverance. The photos are simply marvellous and one can only wonder in astonishment. Superb

Amazing story and what a beautiful car!

Karl, thanks for sharing the story with us. Kudos to Amit Sapre & team for having the vision and determination to see this restoration through to the finish. Icing on the cake to see the Bristol win the Cartier!

Fascinating read and an inspiration for others.

Regards.

Unbelievable, that is just awesome.
Hats off to the team efforts taken to restore the car from such a sordid state.

I dont have words to describe the dedication, passion and hardwork of the team. Amazing amazing amazing. I have done similar excavation to fix my first RD and Jawa 350 but digging up some mud to excavate the parts is a challenge in its own.

Re: 1948 Bristol 400 - Resurrection against all odds!

Words fall short to describe the reactions after seeing the resurrection. Car guys or non, all are awe smitten with the work. This is mammoth of an unbelievable work. From a pile of junk to show car. Hat's off to Amit for the passion & zeel and Kaizad for the awesome work done.

And then the book is of another level as well. I can very well see the Architect touch in book. No wonder Amit is Architect.

This to me is the best of the best restoration done so far (of those I know off) and probably will remain so.

I was lucky to capture one of the coolest snaps at the Cartier event when even prince MICHAEL of Kent wanted to take a snap of the Bristol . Even he could not believe what was resurrected

Cudos to the whole team behind this mammoth project . Salute!!

Cheers

Re: 1948 Bristol 400 - Resurrection against all odds!

Karl, thanks so much for sharing this incredible story with us! I am sitting here having breakfast with my Dad, and he was reminiscing about his experiences with this car from the 60"s. Zavareh and Dad are very close friends from school days, and when we would go to Calcutta for the December Polo season, Dad would normally drive this car for the time we visited. I remember being 4-5 years old, and sitting in the drivers seat, making car like sounds and holding on to the steering wheel, while my legs did not even reach the pedals. What great memories!! And of course there is the story of the Fiamm's that were taken off this car and given to me by Soli Captain, when I got my first car, a 1946 Austin 10 - coincidentally, belonging to Zavareh's mother!
