This was amazing! Thanks for sharing. I remember having a standard in the family as well. In fact, I was even picked up from school a few times in it. However, that was ages ago and I'm not sure what happened to it. But your post definitely makes me want to know more about it

Came across this thread only today - read it from the beginning till the end in one shot.
The final photos look amazing - I have never seen a Standard 10 look so lovely !

My Father had a Super 10 as his first car (bought used in 1975) and is very sentimental for that reason.

Spotted a rare find
Standard Stationwagon - thinking to go check it out & try my luck if I can get to own another one of those classic beauties.

Look forward to seniors to throw some light on this particular model. Haven’t been able to find this on google.

A shame to see the car reach this level of disrepair. It was a one owner car in Bombay in fairly good running condition, later sold to Delhi. Seems it hasn't been touched since.

Lovely to see the hard-work gone into this beautiful restoration.

We recently started restoration on a Standard 10 for a client. If any Standard expert could shine some light on this model and help me source a steering box for it, it would be really helpful.

Attaching a few pictures. Pardon me for the poor quality of pictures. I'll get some good quality ones next time I'm around the car.



P.S: My uncle, who happens to be a collector himself has a very original Standard from the late 50s with it's original service book and all. I'll try and get her photos as well.

The Standard 10 (note not yet Super 10) is advertised here in September 1955


In September 1956 it is still called the Standard 10.


It seems by 1957 the Super prefix was added.
