Vintage Villa is a display of a private vintage & classic cars Collection in Kamrej, Surat, the cars are owned by Mr. K.K Patel family and they have over 100 + cars , bikes and tractors. Many cars are in their storage and will be displayed soon.

Thanks Kartikeya for giving us a sneak peek into the huge and largely unknown collection of the Patel family. The collection is very well assorted and includes cars from a wide spectrum of ages, makes, countries of origin and segments.

They have taken all the efforts to keep them in a good and presentable condition. Some TLC and Midas touches will make it look like a really prized collection.

That is an amazing collection by a single person. Agreed that the cars are not in the best of condition but it is commendable that they are being preserved and taken care of. It's much better to keep them in this condition (without restoring them) than letting them rot (Rust In Pieces... Pics of Disintegrating Classic & Vintage Cars) into the ground. So now Gujarat has 2 places where vintage car enthusiasts can visit - this one and Auto World Dasthan (Pranlal Bhogilal Collection - Auto World - Dasthan - Kathwada - Gujarat).

Is this a Riley? If so, is it from Mumbai? Had seen a similar one a few years ago.

The Morris belonged to Air Vice Marshal Sangar of the Indian Air Force, who was posted here, then. He retired within a few months, in 2004 itself and moved out.

Great suggestion, I have forwarded the same.

The display is usually open for people on Sundays and entry is free, however if any one wants to visit it would be good to call and go.

Thanks for the pics Kartik! The "BYF 8796" is the Riley that I saw in Mumbai a few years ago.

Are all these cars part of a long term ownership or have they been acquired over the years or are these cars owned by others and kept for display here?

Most cars have been acquired over a 10 year period and are all owned by the Patel family.

Wow what a varied collection. It is commendable for a single family to acquire 100+ cars, bikes and tractors + the SUV's as well.

I in particular love the Triumph Dolomite, Sipani Dolphin, Sipani Badal, San Storm. Have seen very few of the collectors collect these common but getting rare stuff. Please suggest them to get a Standard 2000 if possible and the 90's Rover Montego (&Estate) in a sense to have Indian automotive history documented.
