This golden Rolls Royce used to reside on Peddar Road in the erstwhile Hill Garnge School compound. I had personally seen it been driven on the road by a driver with ladies sitting inside. The last time I saw her the engine was making a huge racket, she was definitely not well.
From there she went to Kurla, and on th Lonavala.

There must be some issues otherwise the owner would not let her rot away like that.

I have a friend who is a car dealer and has bought a few antiques. According to him this car belongs to an old parsi uncle and that uncle does not want to sell it or repair it, rather let it rot away. This is what i know of.

So the latest update that I received is that the Khandala Silver Shadow along with the Silver Spur (Rolls-Royce Silver Spirit) belongs to a dealer who is also probably the owner of the hotel in Khandala. The Silver Spur is on sale - anyone interested in the Silver Shadow can try his luck on the same link.

Here is a very basic translation of all the main points they discussed.

From 1:46
This is a RR silver shadow from seventies
This model was made from 65 to 80.
It was a very successful model.
It replaced silver cloud model.
Silver cloud was bigger and was getting outdated.
This one (RR Silver Shadow) is a series two.
Series one had a slot below the head light (Time 2:20)
This one had many modern features such as hydropneumatics self levelling suspension, 6.7 V8 engine etc...

3:55 Question: why was it left as it is today?
3:10 onwards: Answer: This car has many stories that are around.

5:45 Makes a comment that most probably the stories are not true. There could be some reasons behind keeping the car or the property.
It could also be that someone wants to prevent sale of the property despite being it at the prime location.

6:50 It looks like the property was given out for lease, but owners could not for some reason maintain it. Later it was also affected by flood which left marks on the car as well.

7:10 People even kept throwing stones at the car due to fear of ghost which caused the windscreen to break.
