I met a couple from Sri Lanka. Turns out, they didnt bring their cars. They were driving some of the other local cars. This couple I met, were driving Dr Ravi Prakash's Humber.

Managed to get a few pictures of Dr Ravi Prakash really going hard during the Gymkhana round in his E Type.

The Cent Ind Vintage Automotive Association (CIVAA) cars, numbering four in all, had started from Nagpur for the Royal Drive. The Ford Consul suffered a mechanical breakdown and had to be left back at Kurnool (A.P.). The other cars a VW Kombi, a Mercedes Benz W 110 Heckflosse and a low bonnet Ford GPW jeep continued the long journey, reached Bangalore and participated in the Bangalore- Mysore drive as scheduled. These three participants viz. Messrs Shreesh Deodhar, Ashish Limbanna and Dr Ravi Sawarbandhe drove a distance of 1100 kms to reach Bangalore from Nagpur. The Ford Consul owner Mr Shahrukh Cassad reached Bangalore and participated in the Royal Drive in a Buick Super Eight owned by Dr Ravi Prakash, the organiser.

The team CIVAA is all praise for the wonderful moments they have spent and have thanked the organisers.

The three cars again undertook another 1100 kms drive for the return journey, returning back to Nagpur last night (04/10/2018) at around 9.00 pm. There were no breakdowns and thats a tribute to the then engineering and now maintenance of these oldies.

All the local participants were in unison in saying that this was an outstanding experience. Planned and executed very well. I am sure that this has set a very high benchmark for future events from FHVI.

Excellent one. Had no idea of this. Would have loved to pay a visit. Missed.

How can one keep track of these classic car events?

Were the cars from Nagpur driven all the way down to Bangalore and back? I ask this because, I am curious to know if it costs the owners more money to put them in trucks for transport or drive down and then maybe spend some on maintenance and parts. This is assuming maintenance is not easy and parts are not easy to find.
