The proportions of the car look very unlikely for it to be an Original.

Thats a real Ford Mustang which has been modified a lot over the years. It belongs to Team Motor Works.

I don't think it's the same car
Take a close look at the photos of the blue one in the old thread and this one above, you'll notice they're two different cars.

Hi deutscheafrikar,

Its is actually the very same car and has been modified a lot over the years. It earlier sported a blue color, then changed to a red/black combination, then was heavily modified and color changed to black. And its finally grey with red and blue stripes. The car was also converted from a LHD to a RHD.

Hi this car was owned by a supplier of cars for movie shooting, in Goregaon.
He sold the lot and many cars. This car was nice, original, only the top was chopped. But in the same lot was also another Mustang with alloy wheels and one wheel was embedded in concrete. Sometime the car came to Bhalla and he did his magic. Remember she was red with black stripes when she came for a rally.

Thanks for that info. But lot of things made/make me doubt. Had dippy left the number plate as is in the photo it would have cleared things a bit. But I have just come across a photo or link that you had posted on imagshack. I was quite certain the silver car was a right hand drive. I know the silver and the black one that Kasli has posted is the same. But now looking at Kasli's pics it's not just RHD but also an Auto. But as Harit said Bhalla must have done some more magic. Ofcourse the only magic I saw shyamlal do was with his paint jobs but that was years ago. after that almost everyone on the bandh could do it.

This car a Chevrolet Nova LHD too belonged to the films and was used in Film City. It was bought by my friend in the early 1980's. Being not in use, it was in such a condition till about three years back. It is now sold.
