Pics: Vintage & Classic cars in India

Some images shared thru a friend . They were taken during his travels in 1979-80 and looks like in and around Delhi. Do any of these cars survive ?

Would love to know or anyone who can share their whereabouts.Pics: Vintage & Classic cars in India-imageuploadedbyteambhp1395324628.086024.jpgPics: Vintage & Classic cars in India-imageuploadedbyteambhp1395324642.918648.jpgPics: Vintage & Classic cars in India-imageuploadedbyteambhp1395324657.643711.jpg

The three cars are a 1946/47 Sunbeam, one Somerset which was chopped into looking like a two door and one 54/55 STUDEBAKER.

Cheers

That's a dodge . I am happy to see it restored. The car originally was gray and came from Ujjain, belonged to a headmistress of a nearby school

Cheers

Not a Dodge, but more likely a Chrysler. I think with a diesel engine, has been see a couple of times before on the forum.

Found one more pic of the Bentley.

Saw this car parked at Big Boys Toys showroom in Ghitorni, New Delhi.

Looks like a Fiat to me. Not sure though.

Proabably a big-ish Austin, maybe a 46/47 Austin 12?

Wow Shivraj Sir, that's a beauty.

The pic indeed is a year old. Some lovely cars were parked in the apartment including some good number of modern supercars too.

Thanks schakravarthy. I finally got to see this car's pictures. This car was unfortunately dieselized and the original petrol engine from this car was available in Bangalore till last year. I believe the owner goofed up by not pursuing the petrol engine, now there is a very limited chance of getting it back. The value of the car would have gone up many times had the original engine be fitted back.

Cheers

From your words, I gather that you are familiar with the car's past. It would be much appreciated if you could shed some light on the car's history, Sir.
PS- the cushion works fellow with whom the owner has trusted this car, though very capable, is not familiar with old cars. Personally, I believe, there are many more 'goof ups' to be seen. I'll post some more pics as and when the interior work is completed.
