Came across this '59 on a Facebook group:

Looks pretty clean

What is really funny (appalling rather) is that the owner has parked it in the centre of the road to click the photographs

IIRC, this very car was advertised for sale in Auto India around 15 years ago (can't believe tis that long!)

Is this the same car which was in Karnataka in Auto India . A fabulous car then and still looks like today . That is if it's the same car - it was the same shade and if not mistaken with a one inch whitewall and had stock interiors . If I remember right different type of wheel caps

Will dig those snaps . Any idea who owns it today

This car is in Jaipur with the Roshan Motor collection, owned by Mr. Harcharan Laiker, he owns more than 20 vintage and classic cars. I don't know anything else about the history of this car.

Spot on! 'tis the very same!

I remember seeing only one pic though- the rear 3 quarter view from the right.

And also IIRC, twas wrongly advertised as a '56.

It certainly is a 1959, and an absolute treasure in its condition. The backwards "L" gives it ambiance. Stateside it would likely bring 25000 to 40000 $US, depending on engine and drive train. Were it a tri-power 409 it would jump to over 100000 $US.

Oh that Fiat, this was for sale for a long time for atrocious price in mysore. Don't know if she got sold or not.

all these cars belong to the same guy (he advertised these on forum classifieds many times.each time the only difference was the price was increased by leaps and bounds!!!

Stumbled upon this today. Anyone ever heard about this?? the 'Hydroleria Plane' developed in the 50's in India. Any idea about it's current status??

It may be having an automobile engine an aircooled one,say a VW engine.
This photo maybe of the 70's and not 50's.

It's designed to run on water as well as land, developed in 55.Sorry for not mentioning earlier. I couldn't dig up more info on it(3pics &a brief intro ).
