Yup, that pic is of a Caddy indeed.

Can we please post other pics in the relevant threads like the Vintage cars in India thread? Things can get confusing if we call a Caddy a Desoto!

Nope ,these two are from indore.

There are a lot of other vintage cars in indore as well, mostly owned by M Barwani & S Sanghi's.Im sure you guys know! But these two are not from their collection.

I should think not. The collection is far more discriminating and exculsive to house a lowly Desoto . I keep hearing stories of 14 Rollers parked side by side with the Sanghi collection.

those stories are only stories Karl. Mr sanghi owns some great cars but not 14 rollers. he has some very rare cars and these are from his collection. some of his cars were for sale and Karl you could get the cars for free. just marry his daughter. you can choose, he has two daughters . this is not a joke, i am serious.
Ranchandra ? dont know his name. it is handy craft center. think the name is ivory palace or something. they were featured when Mr Maybach was here along with their car.

I think Mr Sharad Sanghi is havin collection of 100+ vintage cars(not sure mr sanghi's employees at rally told me)...
once, back in 2003 got a chance to see a dozen from his collection at a rally in bhopal..
some of em were not in running condition( they were for display) but nicely maintained

The Gondals also have a red 300SL roadster bought new in the lates 50s, plus a couple of Jag XK 150s, besides the usual Maharaja barrage of Caddys, Rollers, and even a Delahaye.
