UFO on Mumbai's roads..

Guys, look what I spotted in Fort today.
She's MH-12 (Pune) registered. Probably on her way to Pune after a resto ?!?

Dude she is a Jaguar E-type hardtop owned by Mr Goenka. She participated at the last VCCCI rally.

Chief, please refer to the Jaguar thread. I think it is post war. And threads on Mumbai's past VCCCI events. You will see this car there. She was always presentable, no need of restoration, only maintainance. She has only 12 cylinders, maybe transportation was more economical.

Cheers harit

Can anyone please ID these cars ?

Is the first car a Horch or a Hupmobile.

The second car could be a Hotchkiss followed by DAQ which looks like a Chrysler ?

Not sure what that racy number is without the grille but after that could be a Wanderer?

RJU and the car above are market as Essex but RJU looks more like a Reo to me.

Not at all sure what the last car is.

Any info on these cars, are they still around ?

Pic 1 probably a Hanomag, maybe a Hansa. I forget which.
Pic 2 my memory fail me here, maybe Skoda? Delhi had no Hotchkiss
Pic 3 Chrysler, Awini remember this car? Now in Pune
Pic 4 Looks like a Morgan
Pic 5 This is a very very rare car, probably the only one in India. Let ideas come in, shall reveal later. But where is she now? Need to make a phone call. Very far from a Wanderer.
Pic 6 Beats me
Pic 7 Reo, probably a selfshifter, the daddy of automatics as the name implies.
Pic 8 American, maybe Essex, note that the single spotlight is connected to turn with the steering.

Arrreee Wasifbhai, where did you dig these up? I am seeing some after ages.

Cheers harit

So is the morgan rare! I know one such car in India one owner and the old gentleman who is known to us still drives it around not withstanding weather conditions. What say folks are old morgans collectibles as they are still made pretty much the same way they were 50 yrs ago.
