The car that is parked on the left side of the road is a red car so its a bit tricky spotting this out, but as you casn see the right side tail lamp isn't visible. Due to the angle at which this picture has been taken , the B Piller is obstructing the visibilty of the tail lamp.

Now you may say that it is probably the door glass frame which is doing that but the frame is normally chromed and as we can see in this pic it is a dark colour and not chrome finished.

On the other hand if we say that glasses were rolled down , then the tail lamp should be again visible clearly.

This only shows that it isn't a Pillerless car.

Kindly correct me if i am wrong.
This is what i thought a pillarless 1960 impala will look like.

Here is a very very original lowlight Morris Minor with the current owner since the 70s. There are some adornments to the car to take on Mumbai's mean streets which only people close to the owner will appreceate This Minor gives company to a 4 door and a convertible as well.

And here is another superb convertible that has been a regular at Bombay and Pune events. We all remember it from the Raymonds ad too. I believe the car is now in Pune with a new owner.

Well there are many cars that are spotted and then put up on Team-bhp. So since this has been taken in a public place and not in a private place such as a workshop or in someone's house. I am sure you can post the Registration number.

@IndrojitSircar

If i'm not mistaken, the brown Rolls was owned by the late CM of Tamil Nadu MG Ramachandran. It's an iconic car and i can't believe it is out of the state!. Great pics.

My pics of some of the oldies that were displayed a a local auto expo in Chennai.

@ nickatnite,
The first 2 cars in these pics from auto show as I am mentioning below belongs to our fellow Team BHPian Dussey:
1. Blue Colored 1938 Mercedes Benz Type 170V
2. Black colored 1946 Citroen Traction Avant
That white colored Jaguar Mk II seems to be a re-registered car. Any idea to which state that car originally belongs to ??

LOL

That silver car on closer examination I can confirm is a 46 to 48 Jaguar 1.5 Sedan (later refered to as Mark IV ) same as my car.

There was a Mark V and the next was a Mark VII but there never was a Mark VI

It looked familiar in the first shot thats why I had asked. Who ownes this car and where is it.

That paint scheme, though not original is quiet striking.

Are sir ,

I kn ow that there was no Mark VI. The problem is with me making typos all the time. I have requested the mods to edit that. I need to re- read more carefully than what i already do. This car is a Mark IV i meant. The I and the V got interchanged.

This car is in delhi and is being restored by Pandit & co. don't know who the owner of this beauty is.

MGR 111 was lying at The Leela in Mumbai, always in the porch. Supposed to be owned by either the propreitors, or a house guest. She went to Delhi and changed hands a few times, once for not being on the CCCA list.

This car had nothing to do with MGR of Tamil Nadu. But,l I believe that MGR also had a favourite numb ers combination on all his car, and a car was registered MGR ???? and presented to him.
