My my, you work for an airline, preside over a frequent-flyer association, sell water tanks, and still find time to run a tyre dealership?!

Gogi, I doubt whether the Golf would qualify for the rally since the criteria mentions "cars before 1980". Correct me if I am wrong.

well, of late the organisers allow anything to date...they changed the cut off date to allow the modern day exotics as well (which i cant comprehend, how they enter a vintage and classic event...but i welcome them all the same...) So its at the descretion of the organisers...

Uh, what's their take on 60s cars viz. "Indian-made" ones?? They should be more friendly towards them now...right?

Factually it should not but in the last rally there was a 1984 mercedes 123 participating so i thought i would take a chance. Ive sent in my application but lets see what happens. Im defi not entering the merc cause its tooooo hot to be driving without an a/c....call me spoilt.....so be it!!
The newer cars come under the head of "Modern Classics"

I'm sure they'll allow the Golf. I don't expect a lot of cars to complete the actual rally. Most will take the start and head off home only to meet again at the finish. It's just too hot!

Sadly, the Benz we're in has no AC as well. And its black. Whew....
