Interesting. I didn't know this was already implememted. I could decode it to an extent. I thought the color of the plate was also to be different. Hopefully the traffic cops are aware of this new series.

On a light note, these old cars had the shortest number of digits and alphabets on their plates and now have the longest.

A great thread. The Ambassador station wagon is a treat to the eyes. Have searched it far and wide ,but am not getting one used. Dream to own and restore one in the future and probably engine swap it . Also noticed this Ambassador with the sunroof. It must be rarer than a Hindustan 10. It seems like this must be loaded to the gills. Can you please share more pics of this sunroof beauty ?

Wow , this cars so well maintained and beautiful. For a second i got the thought that even i should try and get my hands on one of these beauties. Kudos to all the owners to have done such an amazing job in keeping up these cars.
