Thank you for sharing the pic! Does it feature the curved windscreen of the 1303, because the side-beading above the fender isn't? Or is it, per chance, a model-year spillover 1302 (never know with these multi-nationality bugs, somewhat like our Fiats!!)?

The fender lights are typically US-spec, larger 'Californian' lights - as are the larger energy-absorbing US-spec bumper system. The door might only be out for tin-work. Interesting to notice the peeping sprintstar wheels (probably EMPI stamped) for the North American market.

EDIT:
It just struck me to take a look at the pic again to check the hood shutline, where it curves up near the windscreen. Fortunately it's visible just below where the photo has been cropped, and it does look like that of a 1303.

I think there should have been the provision for the spare wheel where the fabricated 'dickey' is now!!

Help! Reliable workshop for a FIAT restoration!

Hi

I have a 1957 FIAT. With a centre-light and all... Been in possession of this car for almost 12 years now. I'm the third owner. I stay at Panvel, a newly added suburb of Mumbai.

Time has finally come when I can take an active part in the well-being of my 'Piggy'!

She is not in original condition but runs well for her age, minor glitches notwithstanding.

Would someone please suggest a place near to me where I can get Piggy restored to her original glory? Cosmetically, as well as, mechanically. I would be even more obliged if any of the FIAT gurus here could do some 'hand-holding' for me. Thank you!

Btw, Piggy is in Ratnagiri right now. I plan to bring her back here next month.

Regards,

Elegant Pig

Re: Calcutta-Restorer/Collectors-Bumpu Sircar

Hi All, I am new to this thread. Last week I visited one of my friend Near Shanti Sadana Opp. RV Engg, College - Mysore Road, Bangalore. Just opp. to Shanti Sadana, in an open site I saw many vintage cars and bike parked over their. This place is not having mechanic shop board and contact details. I met the only person their Mr. Selvam, he was doing the Painting job for those cars, I could not meet the Owner / Mechanic of that work shop, as he was not their at that time. I am not having knowledge on vintage cars and bikes, posting here few photos of the cars & Bikes under restoration, hope these pics may help the enthusiastic over here.

Regards
Ravi
