Good observation. It definitely looks like a private car.

Hey V12 this on Vashi Bridge ?

yup f50 its on Vashi bridge.

yeah it kinda looks like a private car rather than a cool cab

hahahaha
thats no cool cab that just looks like one

even i dont think thats a cool cab, its got no yellow plates, and the roof looks more like white than silver.

Drifter

beautiful car, nice colour combo.

Thats definately not a cool cab.But it must've been used as a private cab.

There are many such private cars like Merc C,E,Lexus etc which transfers passengers from Mumbai to Pune etc.The driver come here to drop thier 'saab' and instead of goin alone pick passengers and earn some cool money. And these cars are not regular. You might just see them like once in a week or sumthin.
And yeah, there is also a blue Pontiac Firebird which charger around 2000rs to take u to Pune.I've spoken to the driver myself.

That’s a 1951 Plymouth Cranbrook 4-door sedan. It would originally have a 251 cubic inch (4.1 litre) straight-six cylinder engine.

But considering the high price of petrol, the owner may have gotten the car "dieselized" with a (Mahindra) International-Harvester agricultural diesel.

Lots of Cranbrooks, 1955 Plymouth Belvederes and Dodge Kingsway Customs, 1956 Dodge Kingsway Deluxes and 1956 Plymouth Savoys were thus "dieselized" (aka ruined!)

There used to be a 1951 Cranbrook on the Mathuradas Vasanji Road (Western Express Highway to Saki-Naka) with a plaque on the roof saying, "Old is Gold". Anybody remember seeing that?

don't know how i missed this thread but great find V12, no matter whether its a Cool Cab or no.
it's always a pleasure to view a classic car...

ps. ram, thats very sad news. these cars, in an ideal world, would find their way into the hands of a good restorer and be given a new lease of life.....
