Heres other misc cars I spotted in the course of my trip. They are part of seperate collections.

Timewarp 36 Chevy convertible. Single owner, original paint, rumoured to have ferried Nehru at one point.

Snazzy Studebaker Champion and Sunbeam.

This curio really caught my eye. Custom built to resemble a Rolls, I believe its built by Sudhakar, well known for these creations. Note the Bajaj Sunny kick lever. Can you imagine Jeeves kickstarting the Rolls? Most undignified!

Since I was in Hyderabad for my cousins wedding (spent most of the trip chasing cars and bikes), we came up with a suprise for the happy couple. They rode out newly married on a 1945 Norton military 500 single with huge side car. I suppose its of this size to carry a stretcher during the war.

Me and cousin Astad prepping the bike for the occasion.

The big day..what could be more apt at a traditional Parsee wedding?

The happy couple being escorted out of the wedding by a 5 Bullet battalion.

Isn't this at Capt Randhawa's place? I remember him having one of these.

Yeah and here I was thinking you were too tied up with the wedding for us to spend most of your trip chasing cars and bikes together....!

Cool idea to come up with the wedding bike btw! Turned out to be worth it with lack of Heralds on hire for 'Baaraat' these days....

Heres some great bikes in a private collection.

There were atleast 30 bikes there, all in various conditions, some restored, some half way through, some basket cases. The owner unfortunately passed away a couple of years back and nothings been touched since.

Ariel, triumph twin, and some other bikes.

Military and civilian Triumph 3HW, with some more bikes, including a coulpe of dominators.

BMW R60

Ultra rare Moto Guzzi (one of two), Triumph bathtub twin, Sunbeam S7.

My fav, Ariel Square Four. 4 cylinders, arranged in a square configuration.

Sorry to revive this thread again, but I saw pictures of the TN registered Citroen DS. In the mid to late 90s I remember seeing a dark blue or black DS 'sitting' on Kothari Road in Chennai. I remember thinking 'poor sod suspension must have failed on this old car and now cant move it'. But then I remember seeing it parked on different spots always on the road. Could never figure out how they moved it around with the 'failed' suspension. Until I read about the legendary Citroen DS that is. Something tells me that was another car altogether to this one in Hyderabad. I'd like to believe it still lives in a house on Kothari Road. Also somewhere on Boat Club Road there is a house with a Yellow Karmann Ghia. It used to always fill up at the Boat Club Road Pump. When I was younger I would drive around trying to spot rare cars all over the more plush parts of the city. Anyone have any clue if its the same DS? Or has the hyderabad car changed colours?

I dont mean to add confusion to this. But this particular DS seems to have been acquired from Chennai in 1991. The DS I've seen is in the mid to late 90s on Kothari Road in Chennai. There must be some other Chennaiites who can back this up.
