are on e-auction for just minimum Rs 5,100/= and 15,100/= and Rs 25,000/= respectively on 15-04-2015 !

Other classic Road rollers & Jeeps of early 80's are also listed.

They are available at CNNL, hemavathi colony, chinkurli, pandavpura taluk (MYSORE).

One neednt be a ponton owner to say that this car is far from original as can be seen from the seats, upholsery, dash.When did a ponton come with a/c? also his claim that a similar ponton costs one crore in the international market is just blah blah to substantiiate his claim of 3million plus price for an average car with a great paintjob

Im still laughing at the owners claim (besides the price quoted) that it could be the only RHD diesel in India. Either this guy is loony or lives in his own well. Theres so much blah blah!!

In the past year or so, a Ponton in Punjab was sold for about Rs 4,00,000 and another was on sale at Kolkata for about Rs 8,00,000. Both cars were attractive as well. Hence, the price is of the 1960 Kerala Ponton is not justified. Many parts , shown in the pics , are of other Benz models.

It used to be in pretty good shape and running some years back - then lying on the road untouched for ages, which is a shame. While it has been advertised as a Morris Minor, it is in fact a larger Oxford/Hindustan 14. If the side valve engine is in place (unlikely), it would be a great buy for anyone looking for an entry classic. Even if fitted with an OHV engine, its a great project car to start with. Had I not already had one, I would have jumped on this.

Incidentally the registration is from the early 60s, while car is about 10 years older.

If the original engine has succumbed, would make a nice hot rod project or a sleeper to surprise people at the lights, the two-tone blue and purple colour is helping those thoughts along nicely.

thre is a garage opposite to Mc Donald's Peenya Bangalore where jeeps like these get refurbished

some ads are listed below, BUT the prices seem to be so high , and one could buy a decent Fortuner/Safari Storme etc with that kind of cash instead! consider a Range Rover or a Landy instead ! good luck !
