or you could buy a C230/ 250 V6 petrol for about 10lakhs onwards... these are lovely 200+ bhp very smooth and comfortable saloons, certain future classics in India. these were imported CBU from Germany, not assembeled in India

This is a Morris 10, the British equivalent of our Hindustan 10. This is the older model from the late 1930's onwards, with such a front grille treatment and the Morris badge atop. The smoother lines on the front face and the front grille were a post war design. The dash is more or less the same, with the white and black dialled Smiths meters and the usual switchgear. But older Morris 10's of this kind were very rare to sight on our roads.The Morris 8 though, in its many avatars, were liberally imported. Perhaps, with the inking of the Morris- HM collaboration in the pipeline since 1942, Morris Motors did not prefer to flood our market with the British version of the Morris 10, that would cannibalise the Hindustan 10.

This car has just been bought by a collector in TN. Seemed to have even the original GM keys! Hopefully an original engine can be found or exists elsewhere already.

Sir, you are correct.the car has already been sold to person from other end of my state,Pollachi.It was sold for around 6 lacs.My friend from Tirunelvelli had also gone to see the car 2 days ago, but backed out because he felt it was converted from left hand drive to right hand drive,
front and rear suspension,steering,seats was all changed to that of contessa.Also the original 6cylinder petrol engine had been scrapped long ago and chance of getting a original chevy nova engine is not easy.

It should be the contact phone number (mobile).

I think the Ford A is a fantastic restoration project, but the asking rate is too much for a car in this state, on the other hand the Plymouth fully restored seems to be a decent deal.

Sure it will find a good caring owner.
