Chrome on the wheel arches was not standard and is often used to hide badly rotten bits. Left long ago the wheel arch will start to rot, as they are terrible water traps.

I don't know about India, but in Europe a W123 diesel with only 130.000 km on the clock s almost unheard. The diesels typically have several hundreds of thousands kilometres on the clock minimum. Nothing to worry about, these are some of world most robust diesels out there.

But chrome and low mileage diesel requires careful investigation on these W123s

I know this car when it was with its first owner. It was English red shade then.It was imported from South East Asia.It changed 2 owners in the last decade.The mileage done by the car could be true.Because there were many diesel W123 cars in Kerala which has done unbelievably low mileage.
Regarding the other aspects of the car including the "rust"' you may be correct

If I am not mistaken they were in production from 1953 to 1963. Fintails started replacing this from around 1962, though
