Somehow I have seen too many fake ads on OLX and other aggregator sites to believe this one. A dedicated automobile site that updates regularly and weeds out fakes is way better.

Unless someone can confirm such a car exists in Kanpur.

The listing has English and (Kannada?) in it, the picture doesn't seem like Kanpur at all.

Carwale has a system of calling and confirming seller details and filling in missing details, it's not 100% foolproof (have come across a bunch of wrong listings) but its better than the rest.

Which sites do you all trawl to check?

I managed to get this clarified, by sheer chance.
This guy Vicky apparently does have Mustang........."s" for sale, but not fastbacks. This picture which was put up is a "representative" picture. Car is expensive, but available.
Therefore, apparently, the ad may not be fake. He has given his numbers, and they don't lead to Lagos.
N.B. Whoever takes it up has to satisfy self for authenticity, I will not take responsibility.

Cheers harit

this guy vicky soni, has been hosting his cars on our TBHP classifieds as well, he is a genuine car dealer for both vintage and imported cars, but pls venture at your own peril.

Very strange way of trying to sell cars. Should put actual pictures and correct details.
This is like putting Katrina Kaif's picture as a representative picture on a marriage site and expecting people to understand and forgive. 😀

Re: Vicky Soni First Class Fraud!!!!

Please be careful of this guy Vicky Soni from Kanpur. He had sold me a Radjoot Bobby GTS a few months ago.But when the bike finaly reached me it was not even close to the pics shown to me on the net. Many parts were missing and even though he charged me for packing the bike was loaded on the transport in an unpacked condition. He also promised me the NOC and has yet to send me even the RC book etc. He has stopped attending my calls and does not respond to e mails.

I remember seeing a couple of other vehicles with such lights. While oval lamps are difficult to find and some of these cars in India might've been local modifications, a quick search on the net has revealed that such lights were company installed on some post war cars ! Since this is a 1948, it *could* possibly be an original.

If you look carefully the mudguard is the same. The headlights are fitted with an adaptor. All the Indian conversions usually cut the mudguard itself. I think the commercial vans had some kind of similar adaptor arrangement.

re: Classic Cars available for purchase

few vintage cars for sale.
http://ludhiana.olx.in/vintage-cars-...-iid-441948356
the more appropriate thread would have been rusting and disintegrating classics
