Great show guys. The Standard Super 10 caught my eye - well turned out, though an overdose of red in the interiors. The speedo console and steering wheel in ivory would be more apt. I noticed the period floor mats - haven't seen them in ages. Are they still available in Bangalore?

Regarding the 220 Ponton - did these models originally come with these bumper guards? Either ways they look good.

I would also like to share that KVCCC gave Rs. 10000 to each of the 13 Freedom Fighters/Scholars. Large part of this amount was sponsored by a few willing donor members, by which we have been able to break even. It is another feather in the cap of KVCCC. Guess the absence of Judging and Prizes does work

No they did not. These are probably from another car with similar bumper profile or maybe just a local job. Who knows

Tomorrow we are having a small rally in association with Forum Mall, where we will do a small drive for Orphan Kids. Total of 30 cars which will assemble at Forum Mall-Kormangala after 9.00 a.m. The two wheelers will be represented by the Bangalore Classic Scooter Club.

KVCCC had successful completion of "JOY RIDE RALLY" in association with FORUM MALL - Koramangala. The event was to spread happiness to orphan children from The Srinidhi Charitable and Educational Trust. Bangalore.

This 1939 Chevrolet Master Delux Seven Passenger car was owned originally by the Diwan of Mysore. This is now in ownership with the 3rd generation of the 2nd owner. The car is coming to a rally after about 20 years.

KVCCC Rally season is back with the annual ITC sponsored rally on Sunday, 10th August 2014. In association with ITC Windsor Manor and ITC Gardenia, this rally will have a theme of "Respect and Create Safety for Women". The Home Minister Sri K J George is expected to be the chief guest, as the State Government gives importance to safety of women.

Keeping in mind the parking constrains, sponsors requirements, police coordination etc, the entries are limited to about 45-50 cars and around 10 motorbikes.

Cars will start assembling around 8.30 a.m. and flag off would be around 11.00 a.m. The route map is as below



Vintage car enthusiasts who are interested in the preservation, restoration and use of vintage and classic cars are welcome to come and witness the rally.

An interesting entry will be a 1969 Lotus, restored very recently. This is a Bangalore car brought out of hibernation after a very long time, by the new owner.

Just to correct you, it is a Lotus Elite (1973-till early 1980's) might be a 1979. It was white and belonged to a gentleman who was a senior functionary in Oman. Car came over in the early 1980's and was used every sunday but deteriorated due to age and maintenance and of course, it was a Lotus!! It has two pop up aftermarket sunroofs which spoil the lines.

I happened to see it this aftenoon. It has been resprayed green alas not british racing green but a shade light. Anyway, tribute to the new owner who has rescued a number of supercars.
