An old Mercedes bus which was used by St. Xavier's college - Goa. (recently retired from service). I remember St. Mary's ICSE - Bombay also had a similar bus when I was in school.

Wow. Great spot, love to have one to add into collection.

Those are build to last vehicles & they are very strong too.

Wow, an old Madras taxi! 'surprised that one still is around, despite being off-road!Incidentally, stampro had mentioned an old tamil movie that featured a vanguard ph1 taxi throughout......I wonder if this was the one?? 'looks quite complete but considering it's in madras (atleast going by the no.) I don't know the extent of the corrosion on it!

'been meaning to post this since long!!

This was a Bedford J6(?) that was coming behind us and then overtook us just as I was returning from the Republic day rally on 26th jan.

Excuse the lousy pic. (taken through my pennant's rear windscreen) but didn't have time to prepare for a proper pic. as it was going past me very fast!

Well, it looks I was given a 2nd chance to take a better pic. of this truck!

And here it is, seen on the same highway yesterday, but going in the opposite direction! 'looks like it is often driven here.

I had to first overtake it and then stop at a point way ahead, camera out and ready to capture it as it came by...! If the driver knew what I was up to, he must've though of me as bonkers!

Doors left semi-open for natural air-conditiong I guess!

An early (maybe circa early/mid 70s) Standard 20 delivery van spotted in an old Tamil movie "Pokkiri Raja" (excuse the pathetic quality, I'm persuading my mom to trade this TV for a flat-screen/LCD one!)

This was the early example, with no wheelarches at the front and smaller "mesh" type grille.
