I think that India did import a few LHD buses, Air India had some before they were indigenised.

Below a 1947/48 International truck survivor. Still has it's original petrol engine in place.
Vintage and classic commercial vehicles are rare in India.

This is a 1942 Chevrolet bus named "Rajmata 1942" by its owner the Guptas of the L.N. Gupta Transport co., Nagpur, among the oldest transporters in Central India. They also own a first owner 1922 Harley Davidson with sidecar. These are regulars in the Nagpur Rallies.
