Whats in the world was Allwyn Nissan Ltd? Never heard of it. Did some digging and found this details on Wikipedia.

I remember there were three names on the grill during the 80's and late 90's. This was before Mahindra took over it.

A nice Leyland Hippo.

Looks like Ashok Leyland first built the Hippo in 1970 for the India Army, according to their website. Power steering first came in 1969 according to them!

This I think may not be in India - likely in Kenya.

The registration KAS points that way and the Air Horn prominently fitted on it (thats a rare thing in India, even now). Could be a Ashok Leyland "export" model as well.

It is a Leyland Tiger Cub. I believe they were all imports.
