Guys did you notice the Delight - The bumper guards (over riders) look very different from what we know of Delights..

The "Black grille" standard Padmini brings back a flood of memories from my childhood - there used to be a spanking new brown coloured (a bit like the Maruti Cairo Dust shade) Padmini opposite my house, which had a black grille. Used to look so stylish and appealing, I remember spending hours at my window gazing at her.

After girls, this was top priority

The 1977 brochure reminds me of a very funny incident sometime in the late 70's early 80's wasan automobiles in Nasik was my father's client. They allocated a new Padmini to my father every year or so, my father would use the car for a year then sell it for more than what he had purchased it for (those were the days). Once he drove home in a slightly more garish than the turqouise car shown in the ad, it was more green than the car shown in the brochure. The minute my mom saw the car she threw a fit and refused to get into it. My poor dad had to get rid of it the following week.

That is the power of these brochures they bring back fond memories, I am sure older people must fee the same when they see brochures from the 60's and 70's

BTW does anyone have record of colour options offered in the late 70's early eighties for Padmini's?
