| Re: The Classic Advertisement/Brochure Thread In 1935 King George V celebrated his Silver Jubilee of his 25th anniversary of the coronation. At that time The Illustrated Weekly of India issued a special supplementand called it Silver Jubilee Supplement, it was dated 6th of May 1935. This page is from that supplement. The magazine was partly torn and in bad condition, so the guy gave me the salvageable stuff and I cut certain pages with advertisements and articles. This is an ad for Dunlop tyres, it is in colour, the paper used was thicker than the general pages and in white. The quality is surprisingly good for 1935. And the ad itself could be framed, the theme and subject are well executed. Cheers harit |
