Distinguished - BHPian ![]() ![]() | ![]() Came across these lovely scans of the Tempo Hanseat, though probably a later one this being diesel. ![]() ![]() ![]() Note by now the name Hanseat seems to have been dropped. Unfortunately not dated. |

Distinguished - BHPian ![]() ![]() | ![]() Here is a lovely ESSO ad, unfortunately undated but I assume from the 1950s or 60s. It shows a familiar 1913 Fiat Tourer, which is now in the Bhogilal collection. It was owned for many years by one Mr. Bhatena, probably from new, and entered in events in the 60s. ![]() It was also featured in this booklet celebrating 75 years of Bombay Cycle, here (Remembering Bombay Cycle & Motor Agency, Opera House). ![]() I assume the gentleman in the car is Mr. Bhatena himself, probably the first case of a Parsi Maharaja if you go by the ad ![]() |

Nice catch! I see the BMC building at the back so this petrol pump should be on DN road in line with Central Camera. I don't recall a petrol pump there though! Or is there? | |

Senior - BHPian ![]() | ![]() After studying this picture for a very long time I think this is a collage! The BMC building has been cut and put in the background. Look at the edges of the building on the left you will see white lines on the edge. also the building on the right in the background looks like a art deco building but as far as i remember there is no such building there. Yet this picture is intriguing will check the area out on the weekend. |
