The underdash shelf was definitely factory fitted from 62 onwards, the door ash trays are also period, but may not have been standard equipment. Stanher's 62 Select also had them.

My Fiat had a small undershelf just beneath the glove box but I never saw a full lenght undershelf in one of these cars

Those ashtrays are what you would find in a later Padmini. The Fiats of this vintage had a mid mounted ashtray on the front seat back

54-56 models had a small corner shelf-like thing under the dash, as did 58-52 models. I don't recall what 56-57 models had (centre light).

What model is your car?

One piece side glasses plus fintails was 58 to 62, what we call a Select. In mid 62 the quarter glass was introduced.

Kenny Roberts - Yamaha

Sorry Folks!

I just can't help but post this one as well. Few summers ago Kenny was my hero and the inspiration that culminated in my relation with RD 350.

Take Care & Ride safe!

I do not think that this advert is Eicher India. This must be the original German co. Eicher in India made tractors in collaboration with the German Co. Eicher. They went bankrupt in Germany and Eicher India took over the German Co. Their tractors had a peculiar shape, a rounded bonnet and twin headlights close together.
