And now the KING is here. This is its publicity brochure in 1983 (B&W which does not befit its image). Very few coloured brochures were available with dealers - it was mostly such B & W brochures. It was an awesome 30.5 bhp of power, from two cylinders, twin carburettors and the engine a 350 cc, two stroke! will post its Tech specs soon.
The bike was launched and the film Hero starring Jackie Shroff and Meenakshi Seshadri showed the Escorts bike factory at Faridabad. The hero and heroine moved on a metallic blue bike in many scenes.

I had purchased a 1955 Fiat from Mr.Ashok Chakroborty in the year 1987 and the car is still with me. The car belonged to Mr.Chakroborty's uncle Mr.S.Basu . The car wan no doubt very original, and came with some amazing things like the origianl owners manual, an advertisement brochure of 1955, tool kit, original jack and lot of spares. I am uploading a few photographs of the original owners manual of the 1955 model Fiat, along with some snaps of the brochure.

These are very valuable to a Fiat enthusiast, thank you for sharing. Whenever you can, do post a scan of these as well, so we can see things more clearly. Also do share pictures of the car with us.

Jatti ji, do try and post a complete scan of the brochure of the Fiat, we would love to see it.

Here is a reprint of an Ashok Leyland ad I found in November 2008 Motorindia magazine.
