A half a million dollar engine???

Add 5% inflation to that, it is over 55 Million USD now!!!

Wikipedia says:
In 1915, Briscoe offered what he called "The First French Car at an American Price." Briscoe claimed that the auto had been designed by a French design studio. It featured a single headlamp in the front, faired into the radiator shell. The auto was priced at US$750.00 but this price did not include a top, windshield, or starter.

The GTS175 was more popularly known as the "Bobby" as it figured in that movie! I had recently seen one of these bikes still running in Chennai!

Re: The Classic Advertisement/Brochure Thread

Here is an ad for the newly launched Premier President - however the illustration still shows some features from the preceding Delight model.

The first few Presidents sold were indeed rebadged Delights. Some one I knew got the first of "Presidents" sold in Trivandrum and remember this as I went around his older car a 71 delight and made comparison and told the owner about it. The speedo meter console was different was one thing I distinctly remember.

So PAL must have just used a old printing plate with not types for the new name.

Best Regards & Drive Safe

expensive! can be bought much cheaper on ebay UK, but postage will kill you and you will end up paying a similar price. unless someone carries it in for you.

I would not at all be surprised if these already exist somewhere in our vast archives.

Re: The Classic Advertisement/Brochure Thread

This Hindustan Trekker brochure probably dates to 1979.

Does anyone remember exactly when these were launched? Also interesting to read that options included 2 petrol engines - the conventional 1489 and also the more powerful 1760cc version.

Interesting that the oil burner has both lower H.P. and Torque, than the petrol engines, though at a lower RPM.

Re: The Classic Advertisement/Brochure Thread

This Fiat ad was posted on Facebook, showing the new Delight models. I assume this dates to around 1965.

Hello Anjan,

Do you happen to have a owner's manual/brochure/Spec sheet of the LML Vespa XE from the 1980s?
