Pics : Economic Times Rolls Royce Centenary Rally. Includes 2004 Rolls Royce Phantom

From the rare 1922 Silver Ghost to the spanking-new 2004 Phantom, an array of 15 swank Rolls-Royce cars will be yours for ogling. The Rally was really good. All the cars that participated in it were in immaculate condition except the Corniche which was in quite a bad shape. The best car of the lot was none other than the Poonawalla's Phantom III, another Black and cream Rolls and a red/cream Rolls. And of course the 2004 Phantom.
Here are the cars that participated in the rally :

Star of the show :

Rolls-Royce Phantom II Continental. The same car was driven by the BSM team here . Was really one of the best Rolls I've ever seen.

This is the Poonawalla's Phantom III.

Other Rollers :

Correct me if i'm wrong but isnt this Capt Nair's Rolls.

The first Rolls to reach the Hyatt, this Rolls too was well maintained and really looked good with those white-walled tyres.

The same Corniche that I had clicked last year. Was in quite a bad condition then and is still the same. Sad for a Rolls.

"lower jaw dropped"

This is fantabulous....Thanks so much V12 for sharing these with all of us. From the photographs, its seriously hard to believe that some of these Rolls are more than 7 decades old.

Butttttttttttttttttt for me, the star is undoubtled the BMW Phantom. The new Phantom has an aura around it....of being an extreme...supreme...and an entire class apart.

Look forward to seeing the Phantom in person tonight,

GTO

Thats cos those cars are in the right hands. You need to know and love ur car to keep them in such good condition. The way these cars are maintained, its really good enuf to fetch a good price in the international market. Especially the Continental Coupe. I guess the car was driven all the way from Pune.

Rolls Royce is owned by BMW. All the parts for the car are supplied by BMW. The Brits just put things together. Hence, BMW Phantom. I think that's what GTO meant.

I thought, as the rally was going to pass my house so i would just stand on the road get the glimpse of cars and go back. But after watching the cars especially the vintage classics and obvs. '04 Phantom just couldnt resist to keep looking at them so I decided to join Tbhp's pro photographers V12 n Dippy and also Revv.at Grand Hyatt and believe me it was a RR Treat. Amazing, to see Rolls out there Old vs New. For me Classics were the best but Phantom was sooo stunning huge and mean. Stance of that car was clearly awesome and any would love to just sit and watch.
Another thing I was amazed to see was the long wheelbase of Phantom soooo huge.
This is an interesting fact I came across
"The large wheels and tyres were specially developed for the Phantom: it is the first car in the world to feature the advanced PAX run-flat tyre system as standard, which allows the car to run for 100 miles at 50 mph after a puncture."
Another thing to see was the engine wow it rocked V12 6.75 ltr. 450+ bhp
Overall, one of the memorable day in life. It was just BEAUTIFUL.

P.S. Great pics guys
