While on a visit to Goa in 2002, I had sighted a restored spick and span, silver 1950's Mercedes 190D Ponton in Panaji. Have photographed that and will post its picture soon.It bore the GDA number and was owned by an elderly foreigner couple. The lady standing beside the car told me how painstakingly her husband had done up the car.
Any further details about this car?

That is a Passat - third gen. The notchback version the Santana is still made in China, in a modified form

Karl I've seen a photo of that car before in Mar 1 Navhind times. With teh Governor of Goa SS. Sidhu in it with the Curator of the museum Victor H. Gomes. Didn't scan it cause it wasn't so good a photo.

That should be a 57 Buick coupe - If I remember right this is shot in Panjim, and has some more assorted old cars lying around?

Yeah....its my personal fav Ghia

That Buick Coupe is also a nice find....is it for sale, any history on it. Is is some darl red colour or is it on primer ?

Oh...! i remember seeing this car at Altinho hills, this house has 4 other VW's which needs restoration.

This house is located few meters after that BIG govt., building, someone told me its the ministers office.
