Emailed to me by a friend. I am sure he got these off a site, but didnt give the link. I am searching for the source and will update when I get it.

This one takes the cake. If i remember right this was owned by a DJ from Porvorim and he had it cut at a garage. He sold it for, make a guess??.... Rs 5k No I am not joking. The horrible lights and other mods are the brainwork of the present owner.

When people do the kind of things they do the first car is beyond equal opportunity/human rights etc such people should either asked to really fix her up or discouraged from entering the car unless they like to be called joker in the pack.

The last one is a convert alha our very own bureto! apart some part of some part of that a frame/cabrio replication look like a start the rest is sheer and pure ?*&#

Not miss the blue T top as it were..what is it about us Goan's we keep doing this to cars a tacky trend I though may evolve into better avenues of modification in the automotive field some which have taken good ground in other parts i.e Mumbai/South?delhi etc WAKE UP GOA kithe re pishe lagle

Sacrilege

All of Avelar's creations get a red carpet to whacky mods thread.

Most of the VW guys used to look up to Goa for its wonderful VW's, but off late, you dont get to see good true VW's nor any place where we get VW spares.

Its time Goa looses the tag of VW Capital of India

I attended this first all VW event in Goa, it was Feb 26th 2004,and organised by Jock Barelman a goa resident ,all the cars met at avalars Garage, and lined up in the road. From there they all cruised to a big hotel in colva. for a show and shine .I took loads of pics and the only ones i could find today were these i have posted, There is also a Ultra VW magazine that published some of my pics, which is the cutting what you see here.

The topic is about Avelar's creation here, i am right in what i said.

My creations stay atleast close to originality, me too not perfect, but will never bugger up any car like what Mr Burito does. (with due respects to him)

Of course there are wonderful restorations happening there, but days are gone when someone can walk into Goa and buy Beetle stuff off the shelf.

Till date i've not found a single VW stuff in Goa, wherein Mumbai had me surprised, 15 year specific NOS parts came to me off the shelf.

So i feel Goa has to loose the VW capital tag, Prove me wrong by getting me a pair of 1967 Beetle tail lens cover.
