Same Triumph in Delhi, what it looks like now.

Notice the twin carb head. with a 650cc motor.

1947 Speed Twin bought in Pune.
This Delhi Registered bike was bought by me (in the picture) in 1996 in Pune. I owned the bike for few years the sold it in 2004 in Delhi. If you are in classic bike scene near Pune then you will recognize Ruben in the background. He has a Vellocette, BSA Gold Star, and few others. His brother has Sam's Garage in Punjabi Bagh, Pune.[/quote]

I know the brother Sam had a Velo Viper. he took me for a spin on it. They also bought the Goldie off a common friend in Bangalore- in fact, the very same friend that introduced us.

Rueben and his brother Sam both have Velocettes, I guess both are Venoms. Sam's bike was updated to a 500 Clubman's spec, red with fairing. Both superb daily riders. Both came from Pune originally, Sam's bike is BMF regd, Rueben's is MHJ. Rueben also has a Goldstar, he has/had a second one as well. One is BYH, one is MYV, I forget which is which (350, 500).

Reubin's GoldStar is 500 DBD - MYV 7155. Previously owned by Karl Munshi. His Velocette is MHJ 8164, previously owned by Dinshaw Batliwala.

Sam's Velocette is BMF 78, previously owned by Parvez Besadia.

Karlosdeville,
Is it possible to get the original frame number of the Matchless that is owned by your friend? If you would it would help with the register created by the Hawk and Arrow group. Also if your friend who onws the bike requires parts for an Arrow I could put him on the someone in the UK who has many spares.
Thanks in Advance
Nigel

Bsa

Hi to all,

Ok I am restoring my BSA B31 and BSA C12.

I am in the process of doing up the engines and I need some parts - can anyone help me here?

For the B 31 350 plunger I need the timing gear set.

For the C 12 250 swing arm I need the following:

Timing Gear Set
Original Tail Light - Lucas
Original Amal Front Brake and Clutch Lever with mountings
Original Throttle Rotor
BSA Tank Badges
BSA C12 Knee Pads on tank and Knee Pad mounting plates
Original Footpeg rubbers with BSA Logo

Also can someone please share the original front and rear wheel rim specs and can it be uprated to 2.15X19" rim with a 3.50X19" rear tire?

Looking for help.

Thank you.

Saurabh

Nice bike sadly taken to the extremes of "restoration" with all that bling on it.

Its what is termed a "fantasy" restoration.

Hey Karl, thats Dr. Ravi Prakash's Harley. This was restored at least two years back. Here is a picture of it in a Dassera Rally to Mysore. A friend of mine was really lucky to ride it for the rally.

Karl,

Was that previously owned by Irfan of Toyato motors. Thinking the photos too are outside his workshop. I have a photo of that bike somewhere.

Irfan's father told me that they spent a lot of money restoring that bike. All of a sudden I heard they sold of most of their collection.
Any idea what happened to the two Indian's from near TAVA at bandra owned by the Nimbuwalla's?
