The Ghost with Mallya would be Dawood Jung's car. Very handsome machine !!
Mallya's SG (APX-3060) is Chassis 31-KG, a 1922 Barker Tourer

Wasn't Phantom I 71OR a Josef Neuss (Germany) saloon, sold to Kurt Elschner, a hotel owner in Berlin?

You are correct Steve (at least according to the Derby Phantoms). I think park-ward meant to say 74-OR (Barker SdV, 1st owner Nawab Moin-ud-Din Dowla).

Or maybe, he meant what he said!!!!!! We will find out

Ah, yes, of course! We all make typo errors. Monsieur Park Ward of France will often correct mine!

Steve after the amazing series of posts covering the PIII's you had mentioned your research was extending to other models that made it to India ( I can't recall if it was ghosts or Phantom I and II's)

Wasif lets recall all the families we know had RR's. Then we can compile a list with models and respective chassis numbers. BHpians with access to factory records/books on RR could corroborate the info.

List of individuals/families who had RR's in Hyderabad

Nizam of Hyderabad
Vicar-ul-Umra paigah
Khursheed Jah paigah
Asman Jah paigah
Nawab Dawood Jung
Dawood Jung (not the same as the famous Dawood Jung mentioned above)
Raja Pratapgir
Raja Dhanrajgir
Dara Chenoy
Alam Yar Jung
Raja of Jatprole
Raja of Pithapuram
Venkatrama Reddy

I am not aware of families other than these who had RR's. Some of these people had a couple of them. Perhaps you could think of some more people who had RR's

re: Classic Rolls Royces in India

Good idea and we should also have a thread RR from Hyderabad where pictures and detaisl of Rolls Royces from Hyderabad can be discussed and shared.

I will ask around for more names to ad to the list. here are a few.

1. Nawab Fakhr ul Mulk
2. Imad ul Mulk

The Nizam and the Paigah's probably owned the bulf of the cars anyway.

I would have expected Fakhr-ul-Mulk to have interesting cars given his fabulous taste in home, but knew nothing about a RR with him. Any details of what RR's he had? The last lovely car from his family was the green 48 Buick with Ghazi Jung. Not sure where the car is, maybe repainted black and with Shujath bhai

Which family is Imad-ul-Mulk?

Five of the people mentioned had small HP cars. Not sure if they were bought new or used though.

Nawab Rasool Yar Jung owned 3 RRs according to experts & RR archives:

2. Chassis # 12NC 1926 Hooper Cabriolet (Body # 6670)
3. Chassis # 83SC 1926 Connaught Tourer.
One of the above was subsequently owned by Nawab Col. Khusro Yar Khan/Jung

Cheers!

re: Classic Rolls Royces in India

Dear Karim Sahab.

Congrats on winning the two awards, your cars are a delight to watch, such impeccably restored cars are indeed rare in this part of the world.

I am particularly taken with teh Huppmobile, what is its hitory. Has it been repainted recently ?

I recollect reading on PAK Wheels about the Hupp and yellow Study coming out of storage a long tiem ago in really good shape, is the Study with you as well ?
