If the link does not work, the cars were imported from the USA (Chicago) into Tughlakabad - by air I think - under import note 87032391. The cars were:

Phantom III chassis 3CP30
Wraith chassis WEC29
Phantom II chassis 114GN
Phantom I chassis 73OR.

If anyone knows about the Phantom III in particular, let me kow as i have some very interesting information about chassi 3CP30.

Thanks

Hi Jimmy. Thanks for this. The issue is that it no longer has this body, or probably its original engine (or other bits....)

Hi. On behalf of Raja Mookerjee in Kolkata (owner of his grandfather's Phantom III 3CP76), I am enquiring whether anyone knows anything about two Silver Ghosts that Sir Jitan Nathan Mookerjee of Calcutta owned. Firstly, chassis 99AE, a 1920 Regent Carriage Co cabriolet with Calcutta registration 7519 and chassis 32EM, a 1923 H J Mulliner torpedo tourer which may have first been delivered in the UK.
The family knows nothing about these cars after Sir Jitan passed away in 1936.
Any help gratefully received!

I do not have much more, other than that the car was registered to Sir R N Mukherjee, K.C.I.E., 8, Harrington Street.

Did 32EM ever come to India?

Re: Classic Rolls Royces in India

Raj Mookerjee has now confirmed that his great grandfather's second Silver Ghost was 32RM (not EM) and we have discovered that he bought it second-hand in 1932. It is believed it was sent to India.....

Check the link for more pics and the history. The first owner was the 21-year-old Prince Pratap Singhrao Gaekwad, of Baroda. The story is also given in the link.

Could very well be, Steve. Unfortunately none of the experts have been able to confirm!

To my untrained eye, the car in the photo looks earlier than a 1921 model (which 118MG would be); and has characteristic Barker features. I could be entirely wrong

The car is not 118MG, which survives in Delhi and has unique coachwork especially at the rear.

The other Mayurbhanj cars I have listed also do not match. Perhaps it was not a Mayurbhanj car to being with - maybe visiting, or entered the garages at a later stage.

A royal plate seems to be visible - is it legible?
