1923 Twenty HP open tourer by Barker, Chassi # 66H9.

The car was with Nawab Moin ud Dawla Bahadur. Later by Nawab Alam Yar Jung Bahadur.

Shared by a friend who got this picture from the family at Hyderabad, who owned the car at one point

Unfortunately, the car is still unidentified :( A Phantom I, most likely a Demonstrator on loan to the Governor.

Noted Rolls Royce Guru & historian John Fasal makes the following observation

I am pretty certain that this is the 1927 demonstration car (chassis 64 EF) that was used for some years conveying all sorts of dignitaries including the Viceroy, Lord Irwin, when he visited Hyderabad.

It was sold in 1930 to the Nawab Moin-ud-Dowla, Hyderabad.

While 64EF is a possibility, there are differences. Predominantly that 64EF had a large flat ventilator on top of the cowl, while the Govenor car has nautical style ventilators. The spotlamp positioning is also different.

Regardless of the caption, the car in front is the Banswara 20 H.P. (chassis GPK6), still around and had the RJB-9 registration.

The car following is the Poonch Phantom I, chassis 37MC. It is the first NEW Indian PI that I have a record of, followed by 38MC (Patiala) and 39MC (Bahawalpur).

Nice find Kartik. I believe it is the Hooper Silver Ghost, chassis 133EM. Now in the Bhogilal Collection.
