Dear Dushyant,

Superb car. Do you know the history of the car? Who was the first owner?

By the way your Standard looks super cool.

Please do post pictures of all your cars, it will be nice to be able to see your collection.

Cheers

Posting a few pictures for your reference.

Nice to see the Dodge BYF 1515. I had heard of this car from many people before. I believe it belonged to one Parsi gent in Pune for many years who also had an Austin saloon, BYF 1514, which he sold decades ago to Mr. Dhabholkar in Bombay, a regular at events.

Do you have any history on the Avon? Who was the first owner?

We got the Dodge a few years back from Pune, good to see the picture of BYF 1514. Unfortunately we know about the owners of Standard till 1950 only. The factory in England caught fire and the records were all destroyed therefore we do not know who the original buyer was.

Lovely cars, especially like the MG, seems like a PA?

The car was originally owned by a businessman in Coimbatore. A prominent bureaucrat from Indira Gandhi's time, P.C. Alexander then acquired the car after which it was acquired by Mr. Jitendra Rathore in 2007 and has been at Fateh Garh since then.

Re: Daimlers in India

I think they mean the blue car (328/308?).
Hasn't this thread gone way off topic?
