Miscellaneous other cars in India

There needs to be a thread for all the lesser known cars who aren't able to justify their own thread, so I'm taking the liberty of creating a home for them.

Here is a Scripps-Booth owned by an army officer in 1924, apparently there was another one as well. It was totally wrecked very late one night it ran into a water buffalo during the monsoon.

They also manufactured other interesting and unusual vehicles such as these:
1914 Scripps-Booth Rocket

is this the one that works on a gyroscope? i believe the small wheels go up and you could even stand on the side of the car without affecting its balance while the engine was on... another oddball that came and has survived in India is the Carden cycle car, i was recently shown pics of a dilapidated example in Gujrat, as is common these days, the owner wanted its weight in gold... for a car with a wooden radiator shell....HA!!

I remember reading somewhere that a couple of Napier 'buses' would run as taxis in the 1900s connecting Poona, Mahabaleshwar and Bombay. Perhaps they were referring to this contraption.

A detailed report here. Car is unfortunately missing the lovely original headlights, and if I remember right, didnt start as well. Are those the original wheels? They look awfully like a Bugatti's

The following Lanchesters almost certainly belonged to Nawanagar. Could the first picture be #3611 listed above by Julian ???

Hu Julian, I have wished now for a while that "Bravancur" is indeed Travancore - no luck so far confirming!

Here is a 540K - Caption to the picture says
"1937 Mercedes Benz originally delivered to the Maharaja of Indore"

Julian, that looks like a UK registration - maybe you can do some sleuthing!
Also looks like a Sotheby's auction by the background (picture is circa 1999)
