On first glance seems closer to being a modification job,the bumpers resemble padminis, the bonnet seems closer to a morris minor, the door glass steel frames seem like hand made, the convertible hood frame has bows in the wrong place, etc etc. If its a original then must be very rare,so very difficult to hazard a guess about the make. Interesting find all the same.

This is a very well modified Maruti 800! The plan was make the M800 look like a Fiat.

Re: Unidentified Vintage and Classic cars in India

From the windshield and the doors it looks like a Maruti 800. The front and rear look like a Dukkar Fiat.

Wow that must be super rare in India, maybe the only one.
It appears to be a Nissan Fairlady Z.

The Nissan S30 (sold in Japan as the Nissan Fairlady Z and in other markets as the Datsun 240Z, then later as the 260Z and 280Z)

Re: Unidentified Vintage and Classic cars in India

In Jayanagar, Bangalore, there's a collector who works on his cars on his front yard.
Now he and many others claim to call this a 1956 (or 1951, the year varies depending on who you ask) Vauxhall Sports Prototype, and I'm pretty certain nothing of the sort exists.

Can anyone identify what all various cars make up this so-called prototype? Or has it all been fabricated from scratch? Also, what logo is on the wheel caps? It looks really familiar but I can't place it at all.

This seems like a horse, a camel, a dog, a squirrel and a rat combined together. This looks like a home made effort - a good effort albeit but not a Vauxhall from the 1950s. The sharp edges of the bonnet, doors and dickie are not 1950s style in the UK and the deep angular indented groove on the side is certainly not 1950s style. But if it runs, good for its creator and master.

The proportions make it look like the base is a FIAT Topolino perhaps.

Re: Unidentified Vintage and Classic cars in India

In the same place as my earlier post above, there lies an MG F along with this car. At first glance I thought it was a Trabant, but that's definitely wrong. Any idea what this could be?

This could be an Austin A40 Farina. Can't say whether it is a Mark I or Mark II.
