Guys,

My TWN Cornet suffered big problem with Magneto (6V), the original one was replaced by previous owner and the current one was misfiring and engine gets over heating after 1 km or so. I am desperate to fix this problem, as we do not have very good mechanic in Manglore, where can I get it done ?
Seen one conversion kit (12V) on one website which suites for TWN 200cc, but costs 310 Euro's.....hmmm

Can any one help me sourcing Amal carb - 76AV/IED (1954 Matchless G3LS) and Bing vergaser - 2/26/26 (1955 Triumph TWN Cornet) ?

Presently I am trying to get my bikes close to original parts.
Regards

Hi there cal!

Welcome aboard! Nice to have another standard car owner here!

Do post pics. of your rides, ESPECIALLY the 10 (Pennant) and some info. on it in the standard car thread. I remember seeing a pic. or two of the car in your orkut album.

Keep driving through here!

@ Girish : Got this restored for a friend in Hyderabad. It is just missing the original rear seat handle which got misplaced during restoration. For the moment it has a fabricated seat handle.

Dominator:

I just have one word for the bobby "daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaammmmn" Really a very beautiful job.

Also the RD HT, Im sure that person will get that price, one of the cleanest pieces. I wonder how he managed to keep the windshield so clean. I guess just the hand grips need to be changed.

Two awesome ever beauties and coincidentally i own these two types.
However for the record, these seem to be very well maintained.
1.3 lacs for an RD 350...sounds like i made a good investment after all !!!!!

Girish, for some reason most vehicles in Hyderabad till very recenly were delivered from the showroom with the mudguard mounted on the front mudguard. You can still see mopeds, scooters and motorcycles in Hyderabad with the mudguard mounted number plates. Probably a RTA regulation in Hyderabad ?

One more RD from my native (Chattisgarh) came to Bangalore for 70K all stock and sold for 90K now the present owner is asking for 150K .
Girish you have very nice collection and apart for that you have very nice relatives and friends who keeps on donating these beauties to you.
The TWN Cornet's pipe is looking like having factory expansion chamber.
Nice work mate keep it up.

Actually if I got it right, RTA regulations would hold for an entire state.

Whereas I've never seen this kind of fitting in any other part of AP, only in Hyd. So maybe it was just a trend then?

I've refrained from fitting the front plate that way on my '60 lambretta (which I bought from madras) though.
