A Ford Galaxie Starliner perhaps? I have seen a black and white picture of a similar car with film stars travelling in it, maybe it was owned by one of them. A similar car survives in Jaipur, though with a sleeker bodystyle.

The initial scene seems to be shot in a West Bengal Airport. WG registrations instead of WB means not Calcutta - maybe Darjeeling? Typical airport vehicles seen include a couple of Chevy vans, a Dodge mini bus and maybe a large Fire truck.
