Re: Old Bollywood & Indian Films : The Best Archives for Old Cars

Another Baazi (1981)

This 1967 Chevy Impala is seen in multiple Dharmendra movies. It bears the brunt of his anger here unfortunately.

The same Dodge Minivan appears in the 1984 Malayalam Movie "Athirathram" starring Mammootty, Mohanlal, Seema, Shankar. Directed by IV Sasi.

The Dodge monogram is not so visible though.

Trivia for the Malayalam movie buffs: The background score that plays in the action scenes of this movie (Athirathram) is very similar to Kolilakkam (1980 - infamous for the death of leading actor Jayan, who died during a stunt scene involving a helicopter)

M S Viswanathan composed music for both the movies and seems like a copy/paste job

Re: Old Bollywood & Indian Films : The Best Archives for Old Cars

A rare song "unse bichad kar jab hum roye" sung by Lata Mangeshkar and lip synced by Vijayanthimala in the film Jhoola (1962). Sunil Dutt, the hero appears in the starting scene, reappears at 0.43 mins and again at 1.51 minutes. The car is a 1940 Pontiac Deluxe Eight Silver Streak Convertible. Music is by Salil Chowdhury

A lovely find. The car is not a Pontiac but a 1940 Buick registered MDT 65 - same family. Desirably 2 door convertible bodystyle in RHD. The same car is also seen in the movie 'Kairasi'
