Looks like a VW Dune buggy. Body line is perfect but there is additional bumper in front which does not allow us to see the front end suspension, that would have given us clue. Also the windshield is missing.

Glamour galore and a lovely car. Though the picture looks a bit 1950's photoshopped.

Nargis, with what looks like a MG Magnette ZA or ZB. The Wolseley version was identical.

There is a similar car WBC-7187 in Kolkata; and at least one in Mumbai, perhaps belonging to someone here.

I saw this movie in Sun TV long ago and I think there are 2 heroes and 2 heroines in it. One of the heroines who is an athlete or sports woman goes to Ceylon and wins a competition. The story was something like that .....
Could anyone identify the movie I have mentioned above?
Well, here is the link to a Tamil movie song "Ninaikkum Pothe Aaha" (Illaramae Nallaram) with Gemini Ganesan in a MG TC

A '56 Plymouth, sadly chopped and fitted with a crappy soft top, seen in a late 80s/early 90s Tamil movie (couldn't get the name unfortunately). Not sure if this car still exists. Number is MDU5266.

Not a Bollywood or Indian film - but a nice video showing Mumbai in the 60's.

From the film Preet Na Jaane Reet (1966) featuring Johnny Walker and Minoo Mumtaz in this duet. It is filmed in a small workshop (film set perhaps).

From the film "Prince" (1968) featuring Shammi Kapoor and Vijayanthimala, who are driving in a red MG TC of the late 1940's or early 1950's. Wonder how the lady is able to drive on and on, with the hero weighing 90-95 Kg singing and distracting her constantly, moving from one position to the other.

Happily from the 1.55 th minute onward, they leave the car and walk into a garden, where the hero gets a free hand to display his antics and sing.

A 1976 movie MANTHAN, based on the story of the setting up of Amul in Gujarat by Dr. Verghese Kurien.
Not many cars to be seen in it, since twas shot in rural Gujarat, except for this nice '55 Plymouth in two tone with a cool stop/brake light? fitted at the rear!

These cars are seen in the movie Ham Sab Chor Hain (1956).

Do BML 1458, BML2383 ans BML 2334 still exist? Strange to see so many different numbers, did they use 2 cars?

Pic no 2 could have been shot on Marine Lines between Charni Road station and Mathew street.

Cheers harit

A good dose of Mumbai traffic from the pre-1980 era. The Late Mazhar Khan (died in 1998 and married to Zeenat Aman since 1985 but had a broken marriage) lip syncs to Mohammed Rafi's vocals in the film Shaan.

Got to view this song from the movie Juari (1968) on youtube, thanks to a friend who told me about it, with Shashi Kapoor and Tanuja shown buzzing around on a 1960-61 Innocenti Lambretta in the first half of the song!

And then there is this other song from the same movie with Shashi Kapoor in the backseat of a car that I suspect is a Chevy Corvair, going by the wraparound rear window and door profile.

Some cars see in the movie Ishaara

A late 40s Studebaker convertible, that too right hand drive. Probably the same car seen in many movies of the period.

A Dodge/Plymouth/DeSoto of 1954. The experts can tell from the trim probably.
