Shammi Kapoor playing a prince in "Rajkumar", seen here in a 47/48 Buick convertible, he owned a similar one as well. The cars in the procession are a mix of pre war American Tourers.

Looks like this movie had some interesting cars - Justice Raja is a remake of the Telugu movie Justice Chaudhary.

I see a pretty good condition Honda car - Is it the Prelude ? The car isnt visible clearly though. The equivalent scene in Telugu (which is the original version of this movie) had a Mercedes

Recently Tarun Thakral of the Heritage Transport museum shared a bunch of movie posters from his collection featuring cars in the artwork. Given the free time () I thought I'd check out these movies to catch any new cars.

The first movie I checked was Shiksha, the poster showed something like a Ford Thunderbird so I was curious. I was thrilled to see a lot of car action scenes, albeit poor quality.

The best find - an early Ford Thunderbird that was originally exhibited at the Delhi World's fair by Ford, and later moved to Bikaner. Still survives in a private collection. I assume this regn number is fake.

I remember a similar (or same?) Sunbeam was used in a destructive car chase in a 70s movie AGENT VINOD, and the same car, painted red and topless, was used in this song from another movie as well:

In the movie Ajnabee we see Rajesh Khanna and Zeenat Aman in a Willys Jeep (the same Jeep is also seen in the movie Sharabi). Also seen is a neat little Honda motorcycle

The Honda Benly. There was one with a mechanic at Ram Koti, Hyderabad. It was in decent running condition back in 2003. Wondering where it ended up.

3 is a Ford Prefect

The two tone application was a popular (and in my opinion very pretty) period feature - the 'deluxe' side trims were very high quality white metal, I luckily got them on one of my cars. It was common for a contrasting strip to be added with these trims. My car was smoke grey from new, with an oxford blue 'sash' (as the previous owner described it). Might have been a dealer application. Interestingly I also have not seen this design of trims on any English Morris cars, so it might have been a local design.
