A few nice wheels seen in a 1977 flick Pandit Aur Pathan, includuing a Fiat 1100 T van. Wonder how many of these were imported into India and if any, including this, survive.
Incidentally, note how the FIAT badge on the van almost completely disappears in a later scene.
Also wonder how come every Fiat used in this movie had an MMB series regn.!
The padmini seems to have a rearview mirror with a light mounted, which the Italian 1100Ds had.

An interesting vintage sedan seen in 'Motor Sundaram Pillai' - I would think a Model T with a local sedan body, but the car does look rather large. Any guesses? Also lovely workshop shots.

A nine and a half minute video clip of the Bengali film Kono Ek Din (Some Day) released in January 1960. The film is directed by Ashim Banerjee featuring Tulsi Chakravarty, Supriya Chowdhury. Calcutta traffic of the era, Howrah Station building and Victoria Memorial with many parked cars - Ambassadors, Landmasters, a Rover P-4, a Chevrolet Styleline Deluxe and so on. The Ambassador taxi featured appears to be brand new, with its paint and chrome work looking gorgeous. Pls note the semaphore arms and the fact that the front windscreen beading misses the metal lining and appears to be rubber only. A surprise there! The OE seats used to be in leather then of Tan colour. The white borders on the seat edges are prominent.
