Hi Vinay,

Did the w123 280e ever come in a V6 configuration? IMHO I think that would be an inline six cylinder, fuel injected.

My humble opinion is that the alloy wheel would spoil the heritage look. White wall tires would add more to the looks.

Alloy wheels did come as OE on w123 models in some of the post 1982 models(subject to correction) so there is no ''spoiling'' of originality there.
On another note W123 is yet not a ''heritage ''car but a collectible model for sure.

Sir,
This 1973 w116 car belonged to my father. This photograph was shot near my tuition center in Trivandrum. The car actually was in excellent shape, with complete originals. The head lights too were original hella ones. The engine was replaced with diesel one. The original petrol engine was there and the present owner is making it ready to put it back. We sold the car only because it was difficult to drive in Ooty because of its low ground clearance. The car is completely restored now and is black n colour. Please visit the link
